To keep the system healthy and all users comfortable with limited system resources, we set out the following general guidelines.
A single user can use
Please note that even if within the guidelines, the administrator may stop the user process when there is a problem with the system due to concentration and congestion.
If you want to do long-time processing or processing that requires a lot of resources, please consider using batch-type data analysis servers or the Large-scale data analysis system (registration required).
To check the current system resource usage, see the following page or
use a command such as 'top'.

Data deletion for the work disk area with high usage rate is periodically performed.
Deletion timing | During system maintenance work every three months |
Target partitions to be deleted | Partitions of usage rate over 90% (/lfs[01-16], /wk[m,h]*) |
Target data to be deleted | Files older than 12 months from the time stamp (ctime) |
Decision of target partitions | 2 weeks before the deletion |
