!About the user data migration in replacement
(English)
Dear users,
This is the information about backup of the user data accompanying
shift to a new system.The full shift day of a system is planning
March 1, 2013.
Earlier, the disk which can copy user data has been secured. The
day which comes to be able to copy the user data is still undecided.
But, please make preparation. The user who can prepare backup
environment individually needs to advance as before.
In addition, I will be allowed to consult individually to some users
about a data copy.
The server with former data is due to take measures, such as dropping
a power supply from the power situation, and to start a new server one
by one after the end during the copy. For this reason, it may become
short during the data copy.
<ATTENTION!!>
In a new system construction stage, a part of analysis server and file
server may stop from the power situation. Moreover, under the present
circumstances, an apparatus stop may be carried out at year ends and
New Year holidays. We are adjusting towards avoiding a server stop
as much as possible. Those who are planning work in this period, and
those for whom especially analyses, such as a doctoral dissertation,
are planned and who are should be careful. Please be careful of future
information.
The information about the concrete method about a data copy or a
server stop is due to be announced before the year end.
We'll be a burden to you. We need your help well in an understanding.

データ解析システムユーザの皆様
解析システム移行に伴う、ユーザデータのバックアップに関する
お知らせです。システムの完全移行は
平成２５年３月１日
を予定しております。これに先立ち、データコピー用領域を確保
できる見通しが立ちました。まだコピーの開始日は未定ですが、
近日中に詳細をご連絡できる予定です。ユーザの皆様にはデータ
の整理など準備をお願いいたします。（後述の電力事情から、コ
ピー期間が短くなる可能性がございます）
また、個人でバックアップ環境が準備できる方は、以前にお知ら
せしました通り、順次進めて頂きますよう、よろしくお願いいた
します。
なおデータコピーについて、一部のユーザの方には個別にご相談
させて頂くこともあるかもしれません。よろしくお願いします。
コピー期間終了後、元データのあるサーバは電力事情から電源を
落とすなどの措置をし、順次新サーバを立ち上げていく予定になっ
ています。このため、データコピー期間は短くなる可能性がござ
いますことをご承知置き下さい。
＜ご注意＞
電力事情から新システム設定段階で、解析サーバとファイルサー
バの一部が停止する可能性がございます。また、現状では年末年
始に機器停止を実施する可能性もあります。極力サーバ停止を回
避する方向で調整を行っておりますが、この期間に作業を予定さ
れている方、特に博士論文などの解析を予定されている方はご留
意いただくとともに、今後のお知らせにご注意ください。
データコピーについての具体的な方法やサーバ停止についてのお
知らせは、年内にお知らせする予定です。ご迷惑をおかけします
が、ご理解の程よろしくお願い申し上げます。
