![Reminder]  [March 29 -- April 3] The examinations for the new computer system

This is a reminder mail of the test in ADC analysis system
on March 29 -- April 3.
"We will clear (delete) user data in /mfst02a area" for the test.

Dear users,

Thank you so much for using ADC multi-wavelength data analysis computer system.

The data analysis computer system will be renewed (replaced by new
system) on March, 2018.

We are now in the process of the investigation for the new computer
system and we are planning to do some tests on the computer system in
order to prepare new system with better performance. The test should be
conducted under the condition with no logged-in users.

We are planning the following tests. We apologize for the very short
notice. Thank you for your cooperation and we are so sorry for your inconvenience.


- For the examinations and maintenance,
the analysis computer system will be unavailable
"from 5:00pm on March 29(Wed) to 9:00pm on April 3(Mon)."

Users will be not able to login the computer system during the period,
and user's sessions will be disconnected for rebooting the computer system.


- For the examinations, we would like to use NFS disk area.
Therefore, "we will clear (delete) user data in /mfst02a area".
Please move your data on /mfst02a to other area
(ex: /wa* local disk area) by "5:00pm on March 29(Wed)."


We apologize for the very short notice and major impact for users.
We ask for your kind understanding for the investigation of the new computer system of better performance.

多波長データ解析システム　ユーザの皆様

日頃より当解析システムをご利用頂き、ありがとうございます。

当解析システムは、明年2018年3月から新システムへ移行する予定です。
現在、新システムの検討を進めており、より良い新システム構築のため、
各種調査及び試験を行いたいと考えております。
なお、当該調査・試験は利用者によるリソースの消費を排除して行う
必要があります。

作業のため、以下の予定を考えております。
大変急な連絡になり申し訳ありませんが、何卒ご協力頂ければと思います。

・各種調査、試験、また年度末メンテナンスのため、
　「3/29(水) 17:00 から 4/3(月) 21:00 まで」、当解析システムの
　ユーザ利用を停止させて頂きます（ユーザログイン不可になります）。
　また作業の際に、システム再起動も実施されますので、3/29(水) 17:00 以前
　のセッション・作業は停止されます。

・作業のため、NFS ディスク領域も確保させて頂きたいと考えています。
　そのため「/mfst02a 領域をクリア（データ削除）」させて頂きたい
　と考えています。
　同領域にデータを保存されている方は、3/29(水) 17:00までに
　ローカル領域等　(/wa*)の別領域へデータ移行 (move) をお願いいたします。
　

急な連絡の上、非常に影響の大きい作業になりますが、より良い新システムの
検討のため、ご理解ご協力頂ければと考えております。
