!!ADCからのお知らせ/Information from ADC No.372(2013/12/24) !ADC News on Jan 2014 (English) Dear users, We inform about a maintenance of January, 2014. [Maintenance] January 6 (Mon) 9:00 -- 21:00 ADC analysis system is unavailable for the periodic maintenance. A part of the open-use PCs and plotters are available during the maintenance. [Software install/update] - Update of CASA database - VEDA Install to all analysis servers and terminal WS. Path: /usr/local/veda (Symbolic link: /usr/local2/veda) - compat-libf2c-34-3.4.6-19.el6.i686 Install to all terminal WS. For correction of the problem of Newstar starting up. - ffmpeg 0.10.6-1 Install to all analysis servers and terminal WS. For correction of mpeg -> GIF conversion on ImageMagick. - "lpall" command Set up to all analysis servers and terminal WS. This command is a print command which can be used for PS, PDF, and text files. Please see below for details. https://www.adc.nao.ac.jp/E/users-guide/2013/html/2-7-2.html [Periodic data deletion] The periodic data deletion in the local disk area (/wam* and /wah*) mounted on analysis servers (anam* and anah*, respectively) is executed in monthly maintenance. We strongly recommend to make backups of important data. (Delete target files) 　/wam*: 4 weeks passed (on "ctime") 　/wah*: 2 weeks passed (on "ctime") Please refer for details in User's guide. Please use the batch processing system and check the current status to avoid the above situations. We received some reports that the reaction delays have occurred on /mfst02a partition (NFS file system). The cause may be the concentration of I/O processing to the file server of the partition, however the details are under investigation. Please use local disk area (/wam*, /wah*) and check the current status to avoid the above situations. In addition, we will warn users exceeding the restriction of NFS disk area use hereafter.
