[Issue]
- The login window of NEWSTAR is not opened.
- When the "ok" button is pressed on the login window,¡ÈAIPS can't start¡Éis displayed.

[Cause]
- Empty temporary files such as "nsmmmlock", "mmm*", "pops*", "AIPS*", and "ttt*" in your home directory interrupt NEWSTAR startup.
- These temporary files are removed when NEWSTAR is normally terminated. However, they are not removed when NEWSTAR is force-terminated.

[Solution]
- Remove the temporary files in your home directory.
