Job notification email delay / ジョブメール送信遅延

Dear LSC users,

Thank you for your cooperation in maintaining the stable operation of our system.
We would like to apologize for the delay in sending job notification emails that occurred
from around the middle of this month. This was caused by a massive influx of emails
addressed to Gmail and the mail sending restrictions detailed below.

We performed restoration work today, and the situation is now moving towards resolution.
We sincerely apologize to everyone who was inconvenienced.

Please note that, following the issue that occurred earlier this month, we have implemented

• strict sending restrictions for emails addressed to Gmail**. We would appreciate it if you

could refrain from using Gmail addresses as the notification address for your jobs as much
as possible, as this will lead to a recurrence of the current delay.

Furthermore, we have implemented gentle sending restrictions for services other than Gmail.
Therefore, please be mindful of appropriate notification settings corresponding to the number
of jobs submitted, to prevent a large volume of emails from being sent in a short period.

大規模解析システムユーザの皆様、

平素よりシステム安定運用へのご協力ありがとうございます。

今月中旬頃より、gmail宛メールの大量投入と後述のメール送信制限が
原因でジョブメールの送信遅延が発生しておりました。
本日復旧作業を行い、現在は解消に向かいつつある状況です。
ご迷惑をおかけしたみなさまにお詫びいたします。

なお、今月上旬に発生した障害を受けて、gmail宛メールは強い送信制限
を実施しておりますので、ジョブの通知先アドレスとしての使用は極力
控えて頂けますと幸いです(今回の遅延が再発します)。

また、gmail以外についてもゆるやかな送信制限を実施しておりますので
大量のメールが短期間に送信されないよう、投入ジョブ数に応じた適切な
通知設定にご配慮ください。
